Worldwide Machinery raises $63,399 for Rocky Mountain Village

On August 21, 2020, Worldwide Machinery and Western Fleet Services partnered with over 25 sponsors at Colorado Clays in Brighton, Colorado to raise funds benefitting Easterseals Colorado’s Rocky Mountain Village (RMV) Camp near Empire, Colorado. RMV is a fully accessible summer camp, staffed and programmed by Easterseals Colorado, attended by more than 1,200 children and adults annually living with disabilities. RMV’s campers enjoy a wide range of activities from swimming, fishing, hiking, theatre, horse-back riding and ziplining in a safe environment with guidance and support from the staff and volunteers.

For the past 17 years, Worldwide Machinery has taken great pride in supporting this cause and having a lot of fun in the process. Again this year, the event was hosted at Colorado Clays, an outdoor clay shooting range with 15 fully automated stations. The day started with registration, raffle ticket sales and shooting practice. After participants warmed-up, Moe’s BBQ provided a delicious lunch complete with an impressive selection of their most popular menu items. The afternoon commenced with 44 teams of shooters competing against each other at each station in an effort to shoot as many targets as possible adding a healthy dose of competition for a good cause. The day ended with a final celebration with raffle and silent auction prizes, from a guided fishing trip to a beer brewing kit, a year membership to Slo-burn Cigars, a foursome to Spring Valley Golf Club, a BBQ/Tailgate package and everything in between.

At the end of the day, the best prize was the amount of funds raised which ended up being the highest total in Annual Clay Shoot history. Mike Rooney, Vice President of Worldwide Machinery states, “Once again this year I am humbled by the generosity of our customers, our friends and our community. In the current times we live in, we could not have imagined the support we would have again this year. Thank you to everyone who helped put on this great event and the wonderful participants.”

The $63,399 will allow RMV to continue helping campers create life-long friendships, overcome barriers, reach milestones and experience the outdoors in a welcoming, albeit beautiful Rocky Mountain environment. We can’t wait for next year’s event!
